Adult Education at Lincoln Center

The challenge for this project was to provide a new satellite campus on an existing
middle school campus, keeping the two populations separated, but also provide a
presence on the existing streetscape. By clustering the modular buildings together we
were able to accomplish the required separation. Further, by designing a raised concrete
plaza the project began to relate to the existing street, as well as become a gathering
place for students and faculty. While the project has yet to come to fruition, the design
successfully satisfies the client's programmatic and physical constraints while
contributing positively to the existing environment.
