By removing upwards of 80% of the existing, dated buildings at Santa Margarita
Elementary School AlphaStudio Design Group has restored the character and
sense of place to this campus. The reconfiguration of the campus allows for a
central promenade connecting the administrative services to the classrooms, as
well as providing a striking view corridor through the campus.
With a well defined and focused approach, we have utilized modular building concepts in the design of this campus. A design strategy based on a standard
12' x 40' module allows for maximize efficiency in design. In order to create a sense of permanence, the modular building shall be constructed with an exterior stucco finish as well as be placed on concrete foundations at grade level.
